FAFSA

FAFSA Information

Completing the Free Application for Student Aid is the first step in receiving a loan for your education. At the Colorado School of Traditional Chinese Medicine, we prefer that our students apply on-line. Please note that the Department of Education does not charge a fee to complete FAFSA; if you are being charged a fee, you are using the wrong website!

Here is the website that you will need to go to in order to start the process of receiving your loan:

www.fafsa.ed.gov

Here are a few pointers for filling out your FAFSA:

  1. You may have the option to complete different FAFSAs. If your first term begins before July 1, 2021 you must complete the 2020-2021 FAFSA; you will need your 2018 tax return. If your term begins after July 1, 2021, you must complete the 2021-2022 FAFSA; you will need your 2019 tax return.
  2. Most students will be able to use the IRS Data Retrieval tool to submit tax records. This process is recommended because it is less time consuming and ensures that the tax information on your FAFSA is correct.
  3. The school code for CSTCM is G36863.
  4. The FAFSA process determines your eligibility for financial aid and is not a loan application. You will need to complete a Master Promissory Note separately at www.studentaid.gov.
